Billy Ocean “wows em” at Cambridge Corn Exchange 2019

70 Year old Billy Ocean, the Trinidad and Tobago-born singer, looked good and in shape, wearing a dark suit and tie, and succeed in keeping the energy level up at the Cambridge Corn Exchange.

Singing the timeless Love Really Hurts Without You, the ballad The Colour of LoveSuddenly and Loverboy, plus saving one of his best-known tunes for last, the excellent Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car, though there was still time for one more in the main set.

“What happens when the going gets tough?” he asked, by way of an introduction. “The tough get going!” yelled back his Cambridge fans.

 When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going, a worldwide smash from 1986, and still popular today, was them followed by Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run), yet another pop classic. Billy Ocean left them wanting more.
